\n\tSURPRISE VISITORS<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\t \n\tmy gruff demeanour was a bit of a bluff but it was late I was ready for sleep and I'd had enough of their interrupting stuff<\/span>\n<\/p>\n \n\t"Be off with you!" I wanted to yell, \n\t \n\t \n\t \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe last thing I expected was these strangers at the door
\n\t"Is he here then?" they asked
\n\tLike I'd have a clue
\n\tAs to who they were
\n\tOr who on earth or under heaven
\n\tThey would be looking for
\n\tSo fine, finely dressed they was
\n\tBut I was a bit miffed and in a huff ready for a tiff or fisticuff if they wanted rough stuff<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tBut, well, strangers at the door of my fine hotel
\n\tAnd finely dressed these gentlemen seemed to be
\n\tAnd they didn't exactly say so, but there was an inkling of something
\n\tKind of regal in their demeanor
\n\tImpolite of me to ask, but a clientele is built on hospitality
\n\tTo my chagrin, mild consternation, bemusement but concern
\n\tTheir enquiries were to the whereabouts of not the occupants of the presidential suite
\n\tBut the ones in the, ahem, back seat of the bus, as it were
\n\tMore like the stowaways in the luggage compartment of mine mansion-petit<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSo these monarchs from Eastern wherever-it-was accompanied me down the garden path
\n\tTo the garden shed where the livestockery and potential dinnery were kept
\n\tAnd oh, how their eyes went wide
\n\tWhen they saw the HIM, I AM inside
\n\tGood gifts they lay down at his feet
\n\tAnd me, I nearly wept to see
\n\tThe dollar-making opportunity evaporate with the night<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWhat's going on? What king this?
\n\tHe didn't book in advance, didn't have a proper reservation
\n\tNever called ahead
\n\tAnd how could he be a legitimate king
\n\tWhen his dam and sire not proper wed?
\n\tTo my surprise, the evening's visitors took great delight
\n\tIn bowing low and paying tribute to the humble child before my sight
\n\tIt seems the evening’s bills are paid and maybe more is bought
\n\tIf I can get my imagination around that thought<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
